Crafted in Cornwall, made for You.
A selection of our vests and jumpers have been newly certified with British Wool, ensuring their qualitity and authenticity as being crafted from 100% British Wool yarn.
British wool is a special thing, an ancient natural fibre that has been used in textiles for hundreds of generations. Wool will biodegrade at the end of its life and return to the soil without a trace. It is naturally insulating, breathable and antibacterial, making it a wonderful fibre to wear next to the skin.
We love to work with 100% British Wool as it is a local resource that has been harvested and spun from the fleece of the native sheep that roam these Isles. And as our knitwear is hand crafted in Cornwall, we are proud to be making products that are British made in all aspects of the production cycle - from shearing to carding and spinning to knitting.
We currently use two different types of British wool yarn. One is spun in a mill in the Pennines using a mix of Suffolk and Jacob sheep's fleece, and the other is spun in West Yorkshire using Blue Faced Leicester and Masham fleece. We have been using these yarns to craft our vests and jumpers in a variety of natural, undyed shades and bold charecterful hues.
